Love Bedford Jubilee Window Dressing Competition
BedfordBID is inviting all Bedford Town Centre venues to take part in a Jubilee Window Dressing Competition, to get us ready to celebrate Jubilee Weekend at the beginning of June.
We encourage you to visit Bedford from Monday 9th May to check out the displays, and to get ready for your own celebrations. You’ll be able to vote for any venue you choose, via the form below, until Sunday 5th June.

Bedford Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting - Thursday 2 June
Over 1,500 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories.
In Bedford, a beacon will be lit on Castle Mound, Newnham Rd, at 9:45pm. This event is free to attend.

The Higgins Bedford - Friday 3 June
Come along and get ready for your Platinum Jubilee Garden Party by decorating a hat or crown to take away and impress your neighbours.
This session will take place from 2pm until 4pm, and is suitable for families with children under 12. You do not need to book to attend this event, which is free to attend, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Neil Sands and his wonderful West End cast are back to celebrate the 70 glorious years of Her Majesty’s record breaking rein. This uplifting afternoon will bring back golden memories with songs made famous by many of her favourite singers and stars from her Royal Command performances.

Jubilee Champagne & Oysters at BlueGlass
In partnership with the award-winning fishmongers GCH in Newnham Street, we will be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee on both Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June, between 12.30pm – 5pm. We are celebrating with a flute of champagne and three Colchester Bay fresh oysters for just £20 per person.
