Sam Price (owner of Angels & Urchins Shoe Shop on St. Cuthberts Street) was overwhelmed by the generosity of local people. Sam, who was dressed as Pudsey for the day said, ‘Some people even put £10 & £20 notes in the bucket, which just goes to show how truly amazing Bedfordians can be’.
Sam organised the event with fellow shop owner Karen Fryc (owner of Little Monkey Murals Children’s Shop) and both were delighted by the response of visitors.
It was a fantastic day and Karen and Sam would like to say a huge thank you to all those involved, for their hard work and dedication. Karen said, ‘ It was a wonderful day, seeing the huge smiles on the children’s faces as Pudsey Bear and Peppa Pig came up to them was amazing. The face painting was a real winner and everyone took loads of photographs, each one raising £1 for a super charity’.
However the biggest thank you must go to the good people of Bedford who came in their droves and gave so generously to such a worthy cause – Well done you!!!
