New security measures have been introduced to Allhallows multi storey car park to improve the car park and tackle vandalism.

   The opening hours are now 7am to
  8pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to
  6pm on Sundays. Unlike before the
  car park will remain locked outside of
  these hours.

  Graffiti and damage to the car park lights have cost the council a vast amount of money to clean and repair. With the car park secured outside of these hours it is hoped that there will be a reduction in graffiti resulting in an improved atmosphere for everyone using the car park legitimately.

The increased security includes the introduction of shutters at the entrance and exits to the car park. This has reduced the height restriction to 6 2 or 1.88m. Larger vehicles should use River Street multi storey with a restriction of 6 10 or 2.09m.
