Car parks in Bedford are some of the best in the country!

 
Six car parks have once again been awarded the Park Mark award:
 
Park and Ride car park at Elstow - which is a cost effective way of parking

and multi-storey car parks in

Lurke Street
River Street
Queen Street

as well as the level surface car parks at St Peter’s Street and Melbourne Street (off Kingsway South of the river)
 
Park Mark is an award sponsored by the Association of Chief Officers of Police, in conjunction with the British Parking Association. The aim is to encourage safe standards of car park operation and low crime levels.
 
Those car parks that are able to demonstrate they achieve high public safety standards and quality of service as well as very low incidences of crime are recognised with the Park Mark award, which has to be re-assessed annually
