Bedford Swan Hotel was chosen at the venue to host a national gathering of “Real Food” experts on Saturday January 29th.

 
The Taste Real Food leaders were planning their UK business menu for the next two years - and sampling inspiring dishes made from local Bedfordshire ingredients as they went.
 
Local celebrity chef Sue Miller is the Bedford leader of Taste Real Food and organises a range of events and educational activities in the town. The lunch at Bedford Swan Hotel was the icing on the cake for Sue who welcomed fellow directors from the national board of the organisation from as far afield as Brecon, Ludlow, Cornwall, Cheshire and Sheffield.
 
“It is great thing to have Bedford put on the culinary map through Taste Real Food and it shows that the town is recognised as a place where real food is produced and served,” said Sue.
 

Taste Real Food Bedford hopes the event will be the start of new friendship with Bedford Swan Hotel - with the restaurant hoping to become the flagship of the finest food produced Bedfordshire.
 
Already the Bedford Swan has the prestigious national AA two rosettes award, but it hopes its association with the Taste Real Food will help people to recognise its commitment to quality local food producers.
