BedfordBID Football Shootout with England Legend Peter Shilton OBE

Come around to Bedford town centre this Saturday for a chance to take part in our Football Shootout between 2pm and 4pm on the corner of Midland Road and Harpur Street.

Our BedfordBID Bluecaps will be busy handing out certificates to the winners, and there will be a chance to meet England legend Peter Shilton OBE.

Peter Shilton made his England debut in November 1970 against East Germany and eventually became England’s most capped player of all time with 125 caps. Peter has also won two European Cups with Nottingham Forest and enjoyed a 30-year career, during which time he played for Leicester City, Stoke City, Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Derby County, Plymouth Argyle, Wimbledon, Bolton Wanderers, Coventry City, West Ham United and Leyton Orient. He played a record total of 1,005 league matches before retiring in 1996. He later received an MBE and OBE for his services to football.
