BCA Gallery is part of a larger organisation called Bedford Creative Arts (BCA). BCA is a registered charity, which uses an experienced team of outreach workers and professional artists to deliver valuable community and gallery-based projects for everyone. BCA and BCA Gallery are now based on Bedford’s High Street and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home.

Darren Marsh: A Portrait of Bedford

7th June – 2nd August 2008

Photographer, Darren Marsh uses his art as a means to feed his interest in people, specifically those who share his hometown, Bedford.

In his most recent project, Marsh has been commissioned by BCA to develop a portfolio of over 200 images featuring people of all ages who live in Bedford. In addition to photographing these people, Marsh also requested that they answer two questions: where were you born and how long have you lived in Bedford?

Bedford is one of the UK’s most multi-cultural towns, and this photography project is a celebration of this fact.
