Introducing BEDFRINGE 2008

Introducing Bedfringe 2008, Bedford’s answer to Edfringe (the Edinburgh Festival). Brighton, Bath, Cambridge and even Norwich have one… so now Bedford is well and truly on the Fringe map.

Like Edinburgh, Bedfringe is divided into areas of interest - first up is all the live music from July 10th on the stages of the Bedford River Festival - then comes comedy, theatre and poetry at the Harpur Suite and Corn Exchange.

So if you like comedy, theatre, live music and/or having a drink, then you will enjoy what we have in store for you. From the 10th to the 19th of July over 50 acts will be performing in the town. To put that into perspective for you, the Corn Exchange usually deliver around 42 acts in 4 months – so we really have packed a lot in! There are a whole range of shows for you to choose, including local school groups to professional touring theatre, bands and stand-up comedians. Some of these are Edinburgh Festival previews, so you will see them here first!

Bedfringe is currently a privately run project directed and funded by Future Legend and our sponsors. We are pleased to be associated with the 30th Anniversary River Festival this year and hope to carry on this valuable partnership into the future years.

We hope that you see value and a future in this fantastic festival, so come and see what all the fuss is about… Or simply prop up the bar!
