Bedford Town Centre 5th - 8th August

The return of the giant sandpit, a variety of seaside entertainment, including Punch and Judy, Food, Children's Rides and more!

If you can’t make it to the beach this summer then head for Bedford’s Harpur Square!

Some 30 tonnes of sand are set to transform the historic town centre into Bedford by the Sea from the 5th – 8th August.

Build a sand castle or, for the more ambitious, a sand sculpture in our super sized sandpit.

The giant sandpit with its tonnes of sand will form the centre piece of this fantastic summer event which promises to be fun for all the family.

Enjoy the Punch and Judy show and fabulous fish and chips. Amazing seaside characters will be appearing at the festival looking for the beach!

Throughout all four days there will be lots of opportunities to make and do, in our seaside arts and crafts area. Alongside all the seaside madness will be the usual Charter, Gourmet and Home and Garden Markets.
