Barry was born in 1941 in Manchester. He moved in 1979 to Cornwall where the experience of working alongside a group of extremely active artists helped in the development of his abilities.

Now back in his native North of England he continues to paint seascapes, street scenes and marine art bringing a calm and tranquil feeling to all who see his work. Sand, sea and sun are the exciting ingredients of Barry's world. Inspired by scenes from around the world Barry has become a very collectable artist whose original works are housed in many private collections.
