Bedford is being put on the TV map thanks to a high profile campaign for a national beer brand brewed in the town.
Family brewery Charles Wells has been in Bedford since 1876 and has been helping to put the town the map for decades with its high profile advertising campaigns.
Most recently the Bombardier campaign has been on TV screens with comedy actor Rik Mayall playing Bombardier William Charles Bedford with the strap line: Bombardier - Bang On!
Charles Wells owns a range of pubs in and around Bedford and was an early supporter of the Pub Watch scheme which was the forerunner of the Bed:Safe organisation which ensures customers can enjoy a secure night out in the town centre.
